Can Isabel is a charming townhouse full of romantic grandeur in the heart of picturesque Soller. Less than 100 metres from the leafy main square, this intimate retreat of only four bedrooms has a real welcoming feel with an abundance of personal touches. The owners, Sebastien and Colette, have cleverly created this homely atmosphere within the elegant surrounds of chandeliers, classic furnishings and sumptuous drapes.
The charming patio and garden at the back of the house is a great place to start the day and enjoy breakfast alfresco. Inside there's a small dining area and a comfortable lounge with sofas and log fire. The bedrooms lead off the elegant staircase, some with rich classic colours while others have a calm pale decor. Our favourite two rooms are at the top of the house. One has a large private terrace and the other, a romantic free standing bath.
Step outside of Can Isabel, and enjoy Soller's ancient narrow streets, interesting shops and array of restaurants and cafes. The main focal point is the impressive main square with it's imposing Gaudi church. From here, a rickety tram can be taken to the beach and nearby Port de Soller, or further up the hill, an old style wooden train offers scenic rides through the mountains to Palma.
All rooms are equipped with satellite TV, minibar, heating and AC. The Terrace Room has a large terrace. The Romantic Room has a stand-alone rolled bath in the bedroom. The Red Room is on the first floor with very classic interior. The Blue Room is the smallest but very cosy (and it has a shower instead of a bath).
On reservation, full directions will be sent to you. Can Isabel is centrally located in the pretty town of Soller. Three kilometres to the Port and small beach and approx 30 minutes from Palma airport.
Soller is a small, elegant and arty town, set at the end of the breathtaking mountain steam train ride from Palma. The picture postcard villages of Fornalutx, Deia and Biniaraix. Walking/Hiking - This area is ideal if you enjoy walking or hiking. Port de Soller, reached by a quaint tram from Soller, is a low-key seaside resort, with a small sandy beach and plenty of boats to take you up the coast to visit pretty Cala Tuent and the breathtaking Torrent de Pareis.
