This stylish hotel is situated in the heart of the pretty mountain village of Fornalutx. Originally occupying one three storey townhouse, Ca'n Verdera has been such a success that it has recently been extended into an adjacent house. The façade of ancient honey-gold walls hides an unexpectedly airy and spacious retreat. The original features of the buildings have been combined with contemporary furnishings, neutral shades and striking art works to create a chic yet welcoming haven. Ca'n Verdera prides itself on it's unique interior of modern design and avant garde art, some of which is provided through collaboration with the gallery "Sala Pelaires". At the back of the hotel, the lush terraced gardens, patio and swimming pool offer an escape from the outside world, with spectacular views across the Soller valley. The best view is from the penthouse suite jacuzzi, perched at the top of the building with windows on two sides. This spacious suite is the ultimate place to stay for those seeking a romantic retreat. The hotel's ten other rooms are equally inviting and individual, with neutral furnishings, bold art works, stunning views and spacious state of the art bathrooms.
Breakfast and light lunches are served on the patio, and barbeque dinners are organized on the hotel's top terrace. Ideally, for those unwilling to stray too far, the village also offers some good restaurants and cafes. Can Verdera is a perfect place to relax and unwind with the added advantage of the scenic Tramuntana mountains on it's doorstep. Some of the rooms also have a private whirlpool and some have a private terrace.
The Penthouse Suite is a spectacular suite with a huge open plan living area and private terrace. There's a luxury bathroom on a separate floor complete with Jacuzzi and panoramic views. The Suite also has a private path from the bedroom leading down through the garden to the swimming pool.
On reservation, directions will be sent to you. Ca'n Verdera is centrally located in the the pretty mountain village of Fornalutx. Three kilometres to Soller and another three kilometres to the Port and small beach. Fornalutx is approx 45 minutes from Palma airport.
The picture postcard villages of Fornalutx, Deia and Biniaraix. Walking/Hiking - This area is ideal if you enjoy walking or hiking. Soller is a small, elegant and arty town, set at the end of the breathtaking mountain steam train ride from Palma. Port de Soller, reached by a quaint tram from Soller, is a low-key seaside resort, with a small sandy beach and plenty of boats to take you up the coast to visit pretty Cala Tuent and the breathtaking Torrent de Pareis.
