This luxury retreat is tucked away high up on a mountainside, surrounded by stunning scenery and peaceful tranquillity, yet close to both Soller and Deia. Formerly an olive mill, Ca's Xorc is now a place of hushed intimacy, popular with celebrities and the well heeled looking to get away from it all. The hotel has a glamorous ambience, with sumptuous fabrics, large moroccan lamps and pale pieces of designer furniture, standing out against the honey stone walls. The chic ambience extends outdoors as terraces are dotted with contemporary furniture, exotic lamps and lavish cushions to make sure guests enjoy the views and tranquillity in real style. One of the best views is from the unique infinity pool and terrace, which dramatically drops off into the mountainous scenery. Comfortable loungers and seating makes it hard to leave such a glorious spot!
This charming hideaway is also not too far from civilisation, as picturesque Soller, Deia and Fornalutx are all close by, offering an array of good restaurants and pretty streets to wander. For those wanting to be beside the sea, Cala Deia, reached via a windy road, offers an atmospheric shingle beach. Whilst at Port Soller, ferries run to the impressive (but busy) Torrent de Pareis, or boats can be chartered to leisurely explore the dramatic coastline.
Ca's Xorc is particularly good
for special events or group bookings. They have an
exquisite outdoor moroccan style tent (with under floor heating), which is
ideal for weddings, parties or conferences, together with a first rate
restaurant. The ten bedrooms are all individually and beautifully decorated, combining Mallorcan antiques and ancient tiled floors, with pale walls, pretty bed-linen and floating drapes. Some have private terraces with great views across the mountains towards the sea.
All rooms have modern facilities with ISDN connection, telephone, satellite TV, safe, AC and heating, minibar as well as a central music system.
On reservation, directions will be sent to you. Cas Xorc is located in the Tramuntana mountains close to Soller and Deia. It's also close to the coast and the Northwest's natural beaches. Approx 45 minutes from Palma airport.
Deia is a magical place inhabited by artists, writers and the wealthy. The village sits strikingly on a hillside, between the rising mountains and the sea, and has a laid back bohemian feel with a selection of good restaurants and bars. Just a 20 minute walk from the village is a pebbled beach cove with a charming bar which provides a good place to swim and relax in a dramatic setting. The picture postcard villages of Fornalutx, Valldemossa and Biniaraix. Walking/Hiking - This area is ideal if you enjoy walking or hiking. Soller is a small, elegant and arty town, set at the end of the breathtaking mountain steam train ride from Palma. Port de Soller, reached by a quaint tram from Soller, is a low-key seaside resort, with a small sandy beach and plenty of boats to take you up the coast.
