Hidden down a quiet narrow street in Palma’s historical centre, this 16th century mansion is a short stroll from the impressive Cathedral, palm-lined seafront and modern city life. Dalt Murada's a recently converted traditional residence, and it's enviable position and friendly atmosphere is helping it fast become a popular stay for city breaks. The house has been revamped by the Bestard de la Torre family and has a genuine ancestral feel. The spacious rooms have high wood beamed ceilings and are brimming with classic antiques, old paintings and chandeliers straight out of another era. The furniture is elegant in a classic Mallorcan style with large carved wooden beds and polished dressing tables.
At the back of the house is a charming courtyard with orange and lemon trees where breakfast is served for nearly half of the year. At the front, is a maze of narrow pedestrian streets, packed with history, and home to some of the oldest buildings in Palma. The compact city has everything a good city break should offer; culture, history, restaurants, nightlife, shopping etc. If all this gets a little tiring then the palm-lined seafront is about 10 minutes walk away.
9 double rooms 4 suites 1 penthouse suite All rooms, named after Mallorcan artists, are spacious and individually furnished with traditional antique bed frames, furniture, paintings and tapestries. A touch of romance has been added to some, with traditional Mallorcan four posters beds. All suites have plenty of space with separate lounges, and views to the courtyard. The Penthouse Suite has its own private terrace - a perfect place to relax in private, whilst taking in Palma’s skyline. Despite their other era feel, all bedrooms are hooked into present day luxuries with air-conditioning, satellite TV, mini bar, direct dial phone, internet link, en-suite bathrooms and bathrobes.
On reservation, directions will be sent to you. Located in heart of Palma's old town in the historical quarter. Close to all the historical sights and popular restaurants and bars.
Palma’s main
landmark cathedral, the majestic 14th century Sa Seu.
