Gran Hotel Soller & Spa

Slap bang in the heart of picturesque Soller, Gran Hotel has been completely refurbished to offer all the comforts of a luxurious five star hotel.

This 19th century stunning building, set at the back of a large manicured garden dotted with patios and palm trees, is the creation of the famous architect Joaquin Pavia Birmingham, famed for his work on Palma's imposing cathedral.

The renovation was completed in early 2004, and stepping inside soon illustrates the contrast between the historical facade and the new interior. Classic and contemporary furnishings decorate Soller's first five star hotel and add a touch of luxury to this pretty historical town.

Some of the original walls have been saved and the exposed stone work blends tastefully with calm and soothing colours of the new additions. All the rooms are spaciously set out across the hotel's four floors, with lift access which stops at the stylish rooftop terrace. This is a great area for relaxation, with wooden decking and comfortable loungers surrounding an inviting infinity pool. The height of the terrace offers perfect views across the ancient rooftops of Soller towards the scenic Tramuntana Mountains.

The hotel has it's own restaurant, Can Blau, which is supervised by the prestigious local chef, Xisco Martorell, who serves Mallorcan cuisine of the highest level. For a change of scenery, the pretty town square is just a few minutes walk and offers a good selection of restaurants and cafes.
