Sitting on rolling slopes with panoramic views of the Bay of Pollenca, this grand stately residence is a truly secluded and indulgent hideaway. Already discovered by one or two celebrities (it only opened in April 2003), the hotel is a unique place that makes visitors feel like pampered house guests in a luxurious home.
Originally a 13th century farm estate, an elegant and ornate manor house was added to the hunting lodge in the 16th century by the wealthy Colom family, after returning from making their fortune in Cuba. The ostentatious addition was built and furnished with no expense spared, and fortunately the houses and their heirlooms have been preserved to this day. Now, the Colom family warmly welcomes those looking for an exquisite and peaceful place to stay.
The Coloms have succeeded in keeping the atmosphere of an elegant yet friendly home, with its numerous lounges, two dining rooms, a library, a bar and even a beautiful tiny chapel. The whole place is dotted with ancient antiques, rugs, tapestries and even works of art, created by past and present family members. The bedrooms are in both the manor house and ancient lodge. Some have high grandiose ceilings and elegant fittings, whilst others have a cosier, more rustic feel. An elegant, colonnaded inner patio joins the two houses, and dotted with tables and chairs, it makes an enjoyable place for an aperitif or dinner.
Outside, glorious coastal views can be enjoyed from either the pretty front terrace or stylish infinity pool. Bicycles are also available to explore the hotel's 100 hectares of land, or guests can go hiking along it's own private wooded peninsula.
Hotel Llenaire offers a sense of seclusion and privacy yet is only a few kilometres from the beach and marina at Port de Pollenca, the ancient town of Pollenca and the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains. The owners are happy to organise a range of activities from kite surfing, windsurfing, diving, horse riding to golf (with discounted green fees).
The restaurant’s dining room is a refined and intimate place with an extensive seasonal a la carte menu. The hotel’s own garden produce is used in the Mallorcan and Mediterranean inspired dishes, eaten using the house’s best silver and accompanied by superb wines from the cellar. For special events, the outdoor wood oven has been preserved to cook traditional dishes such as roast suckling pig and lamb. The restaurant is exclusively used for dinner, and breakfast is served in the house’s original dining room, where a delicious buffet breakfast is laid out in the kitchen with it’s cast iron stove and ancient utensils.

On reservation, directions will be sent to you. Located close to the Port of Pollenca in a country setting overlooking the Bay. Approx 60 minutes easy drive from Palma airport.
Pollenca old town is an ancient town where a maze of pleasant narrow streets leads to a vast main square full of tasteful café and restaurant terraces. North of the main square is the impressive Calvary Hill, 365 stone steps lined with cypress trees leading to a hilltop pilgrimage chapel. The views from the top look out across the town towards the coast and are certainly worth the hike!
Port de Pollenca is an attractive, laid back resort on a sweeping horseshoe bay. The bay has a long sandy beach to the south, a picturesque harbour in the centre and a pleasant pine walk to the north. The Port is relatively quiet and has a more refined atmosphere than a typical resort.
The small secluded resort of Cala Sant Vicenc sits in the north east corner of the island. It is a relaxed place with two sheltered sandy bays and a rocky cove set against a rugged cliff backdrop. Surrounding the bays is a mix of hotels, restaurants and shops offering everything for a chilled out beach break!
For breathtaking scenery head towards Cap de Formentor. Once the winding roads have been navigated there are several viewpoints from which to admire the dramatic coastline. Further along is the exclusive Hotel Formentor sitting above one of the islands best beaches - a long stretch of golden sandy beach shaded by pine trees. The final stretch of the coastal road offers more impressive views not least at the lighthouse found at the end of the peninsular.
