Nestling on the edge of the Tramuntana mountain range, Hotel S’Olivaret enjoys a tranquil setting, close to the picturesque hamlet of Orient and the charming town of Alaro. Surrounded by spectacular views of the rugged mountains, this former olive mill has been tastefully converted into a welcoming rural retreat.

It's a sophisticated yet traditional hotel where dark wood antiques and rich fabrics blend with ancient wood beams, exposed honey stone walls and original mill features.

In the double storied lounge, the impressive olive press sits alongside plump sofas and traditional paintings. The elegant and spacious beamed dining room, with crisp table linen and sparkling glasses, is home to the restaurant Es Lledoner, serving innovative Mediterranean and Mallorcan cuisine. Meals are also served on the charming terrace, surrounded by olive groves and ancient hillside terraces. Peace and tranquility can be found in this enchanting spot, with it’s manicured gardens and beautiful surrounds. The impressive infinity pool is the prime place to take in the scenery as it dramatically drops away into olive groves and magnificent views.

There’s also an indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna to help guests really relax and unwind. Whilst for those seeking more activity, the hotel has a tennis court and the surrounding Tramuntana mountains offer plenty of hiking, cycling and leisurely walks.

S'Olivaret is located near the small hamlet of Orient in the heart of the Tramuntana mountain range about 6 Km from Alaro.

What's nearby

S'Olivaret is near to the picturesque hamlet of Orient.  Orient and it's valley is a unique place and is regarded as one of the most peaceful places in Mallorca. Orient itself is home to less than an hundred people and has a couple of relaxed restaurants and bars.

Walking/Hiking - This area is ideal if you enjoy walking or hiking.  The Tramuntana mountain range is a hiker's paradise and good local walks are detailed in the Sunflower Edition 'Landscapes of Mallorca' or 'Mallorca Mountains'.  A favourite is the walk from Orient to Alaro with views over the southern edge of the mountain range and out across the central flatland.

Wine - The area south of Orient is a winemaking region, with several highly acclaimed vineyards in Binissalem and Santa Maria, where you can taste and buy the produce direct from the bodega.

There are a few traditional villages and towns such as Santa Maria, Consell, Binissalem and Alaro in the vicinity with restaurants, bars and weekly markets.

Alaro - Sitting at the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains, Alaro is one of the prettiest towns in Mallorca.  Life is focussed around a large attractive square with a statuesque church at one end and cafes and restaurants at the other (Traffic Restaurant comes highly recommended).
