This hidden gem, with beautiful mountain views towards the coastline, is the ultimate in style and sophistication. Son Bleda, a former monastery and manor house estate from the 17th century, has been painstakingly restored into not so much a luxury hotel but a unique and exclusive private house. The friendly owners, Dieter and Thomas, are on hand with any information and help, yet have created a special place where guests can enjoy their own space and privacy. The impressive building, sitting next to the road that connects Soller and Deia, is part of a huge estate with over a thousand olive, almond, orange and lemon trees. The house is entered through a spacious double vaulted hallway with stone archways and a stunning inner courtyard. At the other end of the courtyard is a beautiful open plan room with a dining area, loggia (with seating and an open fire) and a designer kitchen (for all guests to use).
The huge house is a labyrinth of corridors, stairs and hidden doorways, and with the bedrooms spaced out around the building, there is an added sense of privacy. All the guest rooms are tastefully decorated with great attention to detail, including exclusive contemporary artwork and antique sculptures. Named after various towns across the island, each room is completely unique, some retain a smattering of original features yet most have been carefully and beautifully styled by the new owners. Other parts of the house include an amazing room with a large jacuzzi, sauna and wellness area. There's also a beautiful chapel, with Moorish arches and a baptism font, and upstairs is a well stocked bar area.
