Dalt Murada has atmosphere and a historic feel.
Our room was spacious and clean and overlooked the pretty courtyard
with lemon trees. We enjoyed our stay as it was quiet, but we were
right in the middle of old town Palma

Hotel Dalt Murada. Excellent but pricey. Right in centre few mins
from cathedral. In quiet side street. Traditional family run
hotel. Clean and comfortable. Largish bedroom and large bathroom.
'Antique' furniture. Ground floor room off large courtyard with
orange
and lemon trees where breakfast was served: v relaxing. Ideal
location
and ambience. Staffed by family members - spoke excellent English.
Friendly and helpful without being over familiar. Reception manned
24 h:
access through iron grille type door with bell alert. Adequate
buffet
breakfast with unlimited top ups of excellent coffee. No restaurant
and
bar not operational ('out of season' - really, in June?).
Irritations:
no laundry collection facility (might have been expected at the price), TV
sound did not work. V minor: would certainly
stay there again. V. successful holiday!

We would highly recommend the Dalt Murada, the hotel is ideally
centrally located just opposite the cathedral. Our room was the
epitome of high taste, amazing Mallorcan art and antiquities adorn
the rooms and the interiors of the hotel. The staff, which all
appear to be family related could not be more helpful and courteous.
Breakfast is taken (weather permitting) in the delightful courtyard,
a very fine way to start the day in Palma. We will look forward to
our next visit, hopefully in the not to distant future.

D'Alt Murada - great place - right in the centre of Palm old town
yet gloriously quiet due to 400 yr old walls and cool and airy
central courtyard where they serve breakfast. My room came with an
enormous bathroom with jacuzzi and shower so even the wife was
happy.

Spent 3 nights in a suite at this lovely hotel. Perfect location,
very quiet at night and extremely friendly staff. We will be
returning later in the year for a longer stay in warmer weather as
we were not able to enjoy breakfast on the patio, although we had a
lovely view of it from our room! Definitely 10/10.

It would be difficult to fault this hotel. The location, right in
the centre of Palma ,was excellent, yet it was very quiet and
peaceful. The room, reserved as a standard double but given a suite,
was superb. It was extremely comfortable, crammed full of antique
furniture, with a large whirlpool bath and a great view over the
cathedral. Eating breakfast underneath an orange tree in the
courtyard was a delight. The staff were friendly and attentive. At
140 euros for the room and breakfast, this was excellent value for
money.

We had the loveliest short break in a truly charming hotel. It was
so laid back and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful. We
really felt that we were in the real Spain. A feeling you do not get
when staying in an impersonal multi-storey holiday hotel. We
certainly hope to repeat the experience.

The Dalt Murada hotel was very
central to the old town and near the Cathedral - a very good base.
The staff were helpful and efficient. The rooms were very stylish
and breakfast in the courtyard with the citrus trees was a joy.
Having a hire car in Palma was a mistake because parking is very
difficult. However, the hotel was helpful and had an arrangement
with a local multi-story which included paying for the night time
parking. The hotel and the island made for a good short holiday.

Just wanted to say thanks to you for the booking at the Dalt Murada
Hotel in Palma - we had a fantastic time there. The hotel was
wonderful,
the staff extremely helpful and the breakfasts were great under the
lemon and orange trees!! So lovely to see them on the trees and not
in
plastic at Sainsbury's!!! The room was great, very comfortable. We
stayed an extra night and the hotel gave us a suite at a discounted
rate which we were very grateful for. We loved Mallorca, and will
certainly go back.

We enjoyed another
extremely good week in Mallorca based in Dalt Murada and although the
weather was not quite so kind as in the autumn, we
once again felt very at home with our Palma base.
The hotel was very peaceful except for the roosting birds!! Definitely
not
complaining but very much a feature dusk and dawn this visit.
Loved the
oranges and lemons though this time breakfast indoors. No traffic
noise!! Able
to relax and caught several local concerts in interesting settings,
connected
with our family and generally unwound. Considering it was snow in
Wales a week nearer to Spring

Our stay at the Dalt

A charming small family
run hotel right in the heart of the old town of Palma. The building
and its courtyard are old but beautifully restored. It's small & quiet
yet within easy walking distance of all of the old town. The staff
couldn't be more welcoming and helpful and the fact they don't serve
dinner isn't a problem because there's a whole range of restaurants
nearby. Access by car is very limited - just get a taxi from the
airport. I'd rate it at 9 out of 10.

A comfortable hotel in a historic building in a
quiet narrow street, very conveniently situated in the old part of
Palma.
The very helpful receptionist gave us good advice on local
restaurants, shops and transport. Excellent facilities. I thought
the breakfasts were reasonable but could have been better.

Excellent location in
beautifully restored old town. The hotel itself is in a converted
mansion characteristic of old Palma. Our room had a view of the
Cathedral bell tower (no need for an alarm clock!) and pinnacles, as
well as the central courtyard with its orange and lemon trees. Service
was friendly, helpful and unfussy. We had an excellent stay. Ideal for
a city break.

We really enjoyed our
stay at the Dalt Murada. Apart from the fact that the bed creaked on
every move the suite was very good and the service excellent. We only
stayed in Palma for three night so the receptionist marking on the map
all the eating places and shopping really helped save time wasted
searching, so we made the most of our stay.

Spotlessly clean rooms equipped to a very high standard. A beautiful
central courtyard with orange and lemon trees provided an oasis of
tranquillity in the centre of the city. Hotel very well staffed by
efficient and friendly staff. My companions and I considered this to
be one of the most pleasant hotels we have ever stayed in.

Excellent hotel in the
heart of Palma Old Town. Perfect location near to all the major sight
seeing attractions yet only 10 minutes stroll to the seafront. Worth
upgrading to a superior or for a real treat book a suite. Quiet
accommodation with period furnishing.

The Dalt Murada hotel
was excellent - a real peaceful gem hidden amongst those narrow
streets in the old quarter of the town. The Penthouse Suite was
perfect for our family and as the weather was sunny (some but not
all the time!) it was great to spend time on the private balcony,
relax and marvel at the top of the magnificent cathedral -almost
at equal level!
I would say our only
minor complaint was the shower in the bathroom which was "lethal" at
the best of times as the wall fixture for the shower unit itself was
very flimsy and frequently fell off, spraying water everywhere
outside the shower. This could be easily repaired.
The decor of the hotel
was very well done with some beautiful pieces of antique furniture -
all in keeping with the refurbishment of the original 15th century
house. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

the Old Town all major sights within walking distance. Staff very
courteous and extremely helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable.
Continental breakfast was very good too. Difficult to access by car
and no parking close by. I would return to this hotel and recommend it

nice hotel in good, quiet location within easy walking distance of
shops and restaurants. The room was spacious and clean and the staff
very helpful. Make sure your luggage is on wheels as the hotel is in a
narrow lane with no access for cars!
