An absolutely fantastic hotel. Great service and attention to detail. There are adult only areas, so if you're away from the kids you can eat in the bistro at breakfast or laze about in the thermal pool at the top of the terrace, both do not allow children, it is also a great hotel for families. The food is really first class and is probably as good as anywhere in the Port and is about the same price (alot of places do not include tax in their prices) The cocktails are superb and I think value for money. If you want a special restaurant try, Raco des teix in Deia - brilliant Michelin star restaurant. We will be returning to Hotel Esplendido, more than likely with the children this time!!!!!!

On arriving at the Esplendido our first impression was of a very professionally run Hotel, we arrived at 12.30pm and asked can we leave our cases, our room was ready, on entering we saw the view, wow!! No detail overlooked, from fresh fruit all day, towels for pool and beach, fresh squeezed orange juice on the breakfast buffet. The hotel was just about perfect in every way from the food the position, the pool area all excellent, friendly staff. We would recommend this hotel every time.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The hotel was of a high standard. The rooms and common areas were to a high standard. The breakfast was of a good standard with a good short order chef offering fresh eggs etc. The evening meals were interesting and well cooked, albeit the staff did get our order wrong both times we ate there. The views are stunning from the sea view rooms and from the pools. The pools are clean and the lounging area was a bit small but again good. All in all a chic hotel, well run by a conscientious team it was busy but it was August so what do you expect. Those moaning about children should perhaps book out of school holidays. Would we go again - yes and that's saying a lot for us as we are not easy to please.

Room excellent in size and decor. Excellent views across the bay. Could have done with more drawer and hanging space as there were four of us. bathroom stunning and very spacious. 9/10. Hotel very clean and staff very good - friendly and efficient. Good to have separate pools for children and adults. Helps parents relax more! Breakfast times very civilised. Restaurant had an interesting menu.8/10 We have two children 4 and 12 and felt more for children including teenagers would have helped especially in the evenings e.g. table tennis, playstations, games room or playroom. These could be discrete so as not to interfere with 'adults'. Overall hotel excellent! Would love to stay again.

We had a wonderful time. The staff were excellent and the rooms were very comfortable. I much enjoyed the ambiance of the place which was relaxed and friendly and just what we wanted for a 5 day break. The 2 pools and the additional bar were great as the sea was a little uninviting!. I thought the food was really excellent and enjoyed the fact that we were able to have a meal at unexpected times of the day. I have to say that the food was fantastic but for ones who stay for a week it would be much better to have a change periodically- perhaps a special fish dish daily. Overall it was great and we will certainly go back there again.

A really great hotel - highly recommend it. Stylish without being too try
hard. Our room was not huge (double with sea view terrace) but certainly very
comfortable, with an excellent bathroom. The sea view terrace is well worth
it. Great facilities - the sun terraces and garden are perfect for whiling
away a few hours or days. Excellent breakfast and bar. Reception and spa
staff were wonderful and very helpful. Waiting staff had a few lapses of
humour and grace at times! A tip if you're driving - as a guest of the hotel
you're allowed to drive along the sea front (it says residents only) to the
car park. we spent 3/4 of an hour stuck in a one way system trying to find
it!

Everything was just lovely about this hotel. Staff are great, the facilities

is really modern and the 5th floor vinyl room was a great surprise. The place

Puerto de Soller also seems to be moving upmarket a bit with some good restaurants - the recommendations on your website for Es faro and Lua were spot on.

A beautifully designed, hip hotel in the middle of puerto de soller. Ideal
for the chill-out stress buster holiday as everything is within easy reach,
the pools and sun terraces give everyone their own space and the extra
facilities like the spa, dvd and cd lending service, lounge area and 'living
room' are all designed for comfort with minimal effort - I felt extremely
pampered.10/10 for design and comfort! The bistro and poolside bar provided
excellent food and service but it would have been good to see a daily special
by the pool instead of the same menu every day - so 7/10 for food. In terms
of the experience be warned if you're a single traveller that single room
occupancy is not cheap (but you're worth it) and the hotel is very popular
with young families. I had to time my breakfasts with precision to avoid
babies who 'couldn't do mornings' and sleep deprived adults. All in all,
however, a fantastic hotel where the customer's comfort is the highest
priority.

Hotel Esplendido is a fantastic value, boutique style hotel. We went with
our 2 children (age 3 & 6) and found it very family friendly. The beach
nearby (2 min walk) is great and the trams around the bay are a treat! The
rooms are very well thought out with probably the most comfy bed I have
slept in. All food was great, kids menu fun yet healthy. My son (age 6)
loved the sweets the best!

it was fantastic. We had the Esplendido Suite which was well worth the money
for the extra space. The staff were brilliant, especially with our 2
children (8 and 1.5 yrs) the food wonderful and all in all a really lovely

The Esplendido was excellent, and we would certainly return at some time. It was very comfortable and relaxed-very stylish with most helpful staff. We enjoyed the public spaces in the hotel as well as the pools and sauna etc. Rooms were superb with good views over the harbour. Breakfast was excellent, although it did get rather busy over the holiday w/e. The view from the sauna over Port Soller was spectacular! A rather special hotel. Thanks for the recommendation.

After a painful search online for a holiday that was just that little bit more special, we came across 'The Other Mallorca'. A fantastic site, with beautifully chosen hotels, we were booking late, and at first couldn't stay where we wanted to. We were recommended instead to stay at 'Esplendido' in the north west and what a perfect choice. We stayed in a stylish sea view room, which positioned us perfectly for a panoramic view of the bay. There was nothing we could fault. We have never eaten more healthily in the morning, or been so wowed by the views from the infinity pool, high on a terrace above the roof of the hotel. What a gem to be found at P. Soller - we were greeted very politely by a member of the staff and given lots of information and help - the room was very nice, even though it wasn't one of the higher categories - the bed linen was sumptuous, the bed was very comfortable and good quality, the bathroom well appointed and totally spotless. The bar service was great, and the dining room bistro was very good. The breakfasts were splendid, and yes, we will be going back...

Fantastic hotel! Very modern but at the same time comfortable. Rooms a great size - v comfy beds and pillows - great bathrooms with everything you could want. All very clean & well-looked after - from rooms, to hallways, to lounges, to gardens. Loved the idea of quiet areas where you could relax e.g. on 5th floor with loads of records to play. And on ground floor where guests had left books and mags to share. Great breakfast - really friendly & helpful staff. Great views from the pool. Lots of young kids staying but no problem to anyone. We absolutely loved the hotel. The refurb is a triumph. Having travelled extensively, I can honestly say I have only once received slightly better service and that was at the Four Seasons in Chicago - a close thing tho', the staff at the Esplendido could not have been more friendly and helpful. The breakfast and the breakfast room were a delight. The garden rooms at the back are a bit dark, but they are very quiet. At the front there are several public terraces between the rooms, so you can sit there and enjoy the view without having to pay for a front terrace room. We had a lovely time. Thank you.

This was an all round excellent hotel. Stylish decor and friendly efficient staff meant that our stay was most enjoyable. You have a real sense that this is a well managed enterprise. There were nice touches too, such as a fairly extensive DVD library and good quality toiletries in the bathrooms. The breakfast is fantastic and even with a garden view room we felt we were able to enjoy the very lovely setting of Port Soller.

If you are looking for a stylish, comfortable hotel with great food and amazing views this is for you. It was our first visit to Majorca (we were always a bit put off by drunken tales about Magaluf) and thought that the area we stayed in (Port de Soller) was lovely. The hotel has a nice mix of nationalities, the rooms are extremely comfortable and the views from the terraces (pay a bit more for a terrace, its worth every penny) meant we had the best view in the bay. Breakfast was the best I've had in a hotel and is available until the very civilised time of 11.30am every morning! Two pools on a terraced area at the back provide great views of yachts in the bay. Free yoga was on offer every morning as well as discounts at the spa. You can also choose from a large selection of CD's and DVD's for your room (if you want to escape the sun for a while). Hire a car and explore some of villages nearby - they are extremely pretty. We had a great week and would highly recommend this hotel.

The resort and hotel were both fantastic. The top pool is great although you need to be able to climb several steps to get to it! Once there we very often had the pool to ourselves. The staff and facilities were excellent and we will hopefully go back one day. lots of really nice places to eat very close to the hotel. The tram and train into Palma is worth doing - lots of lovely scenery on the way.

We had a wonderful time in Mallorca. I would like to tell you how much my boyfriend and I enjoyed our holiday.  I could sum it up in 3 words, "we found paradise!", but I guess you're more interested in hearing our views about "Hotel Esplendido", and splendid it was!  We couldn't have chosen a more perfect hotel!  The picture of the sea view terrace which is displayed on the webpage is what made us choose Esplendido, and we weren't disappointed, it was everything we hoped it would be.  The room was lovely and very clean, extremely comfortable (and huge) bed with lots of pillows, great bathroom, TV, radio, CD & DVD player, fridge, everything.  The icing on the cake, or room in this case, was definitely the "sea view terrace" - we couldn't have been more satisfied.  The staff were very warm and friendly as well.  The food in both restaurants was great, especially the dining room.  The entire hotel was terrific, offering many places to escape to such as the sitting room off the gym, a wildly-decorated lounge with colourful lights and furniture which in itself made you feel happy if you weren't already, etc. etc.

We stayed at the Esplendido during its first full week of opening after having spent 3 nights in the Portixol in Palma (the sister hotel). It has a lot of similarities to the Portixol but also sufficient differences to take into account that this is a very pleasant "seaside" hotel rather than the sophisticated hotel which the Portixol is. However having said that the same standards apply to this hotel, the breakfasts were of the same standard (served until 11.30) but, the dining room was generally a lot busier than the Portixol, tables were not being cleared very quickly and the coffee is filtered rather than the espresso shots available at the Portixol. However having taken into account that this was their first full week of occupancy we could not fault the hotel or its staff who were very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. The atmosphere in this hotel was wonderful and left us feeling very relaxed and rested. 8.5 out of 10 (but only because the staff are very new, but I am sure they will soon be up to the high standards of the Portixol)
