The hotel is absolutely fantastic, a real hideaway to relax in. Beautiful, clean pool and lovely gardens. The staff are really friendly, and many speak great English. Exactly the right balance of being left on your own and being offered hospitality. The evening meals are astonishingly good, and exceptional value for €30 per head. Only slight quibble would be the provision of toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, etc.) could be more in keeping with the overall sense of luxury. 10/10

The pictures on the website don't do the place justice. It is absolutely lovely - much greener than we had thought it would be with loads of colourful shrubs and planted pots, trees and grass. We had that 'Oh, this is just fantastic' feeling the moment we arrived. The grounds, pool area and the various seating areas are maintained to an exceptionally high standard and you feel immediately that a great deal of care is taken with looking after it all and keeping it so clean and attractive. The internal areas of the house are equally well looked after - comfy sofas, candles, log fireplaces (not that we needed them in September), beautiful old furniture and pieces of artwork all put together by someone with care and a simple style that made us feel we were somewhere special whilst at the same time making us feel very welcome - not an easy thing to pull off. Our room was really three rooms - so another nice surprise: large sitting room, large bedroom and large bathroom with a fabulous big bath and walk-in shower area. I came away very envious of the space and the plumbing system: properly hot water whenever needed and fantastic water pressure for the shower as well as speedy drainage. All the small practical details had been carefully thought about - mirrors where you wanted mirrors, sensible places to hang towels or put toiletries, loo roll holders that work, somewhere for your toothbrush - these are things that are so often wrong in other places and I realised that I had probably not stayed anywhere before (expensive hotel or small B&B) where everything was right and nothing was annoying.

We thought it was a really lovely destination.  The building, rooms and grounds are beautiful.  The staff were very efficient, but also friendly, charming and relaxed.  Although the restaurant offers only a limited menu, the quality was excellent, very imaginative and good value.  A hire car is essential, but it is a very nice place for a relaxing stay.

Fantastic grounds and a lovely building which is full of character. Rooms were very spacious and ours had an excellent terrace. The food is amazing and it was a highlight each evening when the staff of three arrive at your table and enthusiastically describe how your meal had been cooked. The best Paella we have ever tasted was served one evening. Overall, an excellent holiday and we cannot wait to return. 9/10

Having visited many finca's and other establishments in Majorca - I have no hesitation in saying this is the 'jewel in the crown'. The wonderfully restored farmhouse and tasteful decor, coupled with magnificent (why dine anywhere else?) food, is simply magnificent. Can't wait for my next visit.

A beautiful small hotel with a delightful pool in superbly kept grounds . Marvellous staff who simply wanted to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Lovely breakfasts from Mariangeles and superb dinners from the exquisite cooking of Marinela. Of our many visits to Mallorca, Son Cardaix has undoubtedly been the highlight. Can't wait to return.

No other words to describe Son Cardaix other than Absolutely Fantastic! Excellent room, magnificent surroundings & wonderful fresh food, everything was immaculate. This is the place to come to completely relax, chill out and let the world go by. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome & the superb care and attention from all the staff made our week unforgettable. Our thanks to the whole team Joanna, Isabella, Marinella & Maria for their kindness & hospitality. Without a doubt we will be returning in the future for a longer stay. A Definite 10/10

What a fantastic hotel in a beautiful, peaceful location. We wanted to get away from it all and that is what we got. Our suite was spacious and huge bed so comfortable! Food was to die for. How could we not warm to Marienela and her passion for her food! And very reasonable too. We would love to come back some day and would highly recommend to anyone.

The hotel was outstanding, beautiful building, great room and lovely grounds and pool - immaculately kept. The staff were what made it particularly memorable as they were helpful, friendly and efficient. The food was also very good. I would give it 9 out of 10. The only drawback is that you would have to have a car as its not near enough to walk to restaurants etc, but you can taxi.

Another wonderful trip to Son Cardaix. Isobel & her staff provided us once
again with an outstanding stay. The food was excellent and very full-filling! We had the pool to ourselves for most of the week, therefore it was the most relaxing holiday. Arta is such a lovely place-no yobbish bars etc.

Hotel was beautiful, standard of accommodation great and the staff could not do enough for you. Very baby friendly - everything contributed to a really fabulous couple of days.

From arrival to departure at this superbly restored and elegant finca we were
made truly welcome. After only 24 hours we felt as though we hade been there
a week! The breakfasts and evening meals were superb particularly the
evening set menu. All of the staff could not have been more accommodating
and the pool and gardens were incredible. Nothing's perfect but this comes very close. 9.5/10. Tea and coffee facilities in the rooms would make 10!

We absolutely loved our stay in the wonderful surroundings of Son Cardaix.
The building itself has been beautifully restored in a very Mallorcan style and the whole atmosphere of the place is tranquil, tasteful and just lovely. The pool area was simple and beautiful, with day beds and gorgeous views across to the sea. The terrace was also beautiful where we had dinner in the evening, surrounded by well tended and colourful flowers and trees, and lit by tasteful lanterns. Marinella is an excellent and caring chef and a lovely woman, and together with Isabel and Joanna, made our evenings very special occasions. Son Cardaix is well situated for places like Arta which I
actually preferred to the more celebrated locations on the north coast where
we ended our holiday. We were actually very spoilt by our stay in Son Cardaix as nothing else could compare with it during our stay. We were staying in the junior suite which was so lovely, so I imagine the superior suites must be superb. 10/10

Son Cardaix, such a calm and lovely retreat. We really enjoyed our week

She is such a nice and friendly person and she loves to cook!!! We enjoyed

We very much enjoyed our stay at Son Cardaix and would like thank you for making this stay possible on such a
short notice. We would especially like highlight the very high standard of the cooking presented by Marinella, the cook with such an enthusiasm, and the very good selection of wines. We only had dinner at an outside restaurant once and were happy to return the next day to her extraordinary treats.

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful location... fantastic views. Food in the evening was excellent, although could not eat 3/4 courses every evening, would have preferred less food, even though it was delicious. Some of the best food we have had, as good as a top London restaurant. Thank you to the lady with the 8 year old daughter. Staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. Thoughtful touch having a basket full of books/magazines to read. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. 10/10

9/10. Beautiful idyllic hotel. Excellent staff who pretty much leave you at
peace to enjoy your holiday but are very helpful if you require anything.
Gorgeous large pool. Enjoyed the therapeutic twinkling sound of the sheep's bells from the beautiful countryside next door. Evening meals were of an excellent standard and a set menu so that you really enjoy what local
produce has to offer. The paella on the Sunday was absolutely delicious
although to be fair it all was. We travelled with a toddler who was offered
a selection of his favourites all prepared with delicious fresh ingredients.
The evening meal was a little long for him to sit but with the gorgeous
grounds and something for him to read or play with he did very well until it
was his bed time. Lots of beautiful beaches nearby to suit all tastes.

Lovely spacious room and beautiful grounds to sit in. Ate there in
the evening and was excellent food. Very friendly staff, and would certainly
recommend to others looking for a relaxing place to chill out near the
coast. Cala Torta was the quietest beach nearby with clear sea and shade
provided by the rocks at the side too which was most welcome!

Son Cardaix was great - room was massive with a lounge downstairs and a mezzanine with bedroom and big bathroom. The pool area was lovely too - great pool with views down to the coast. Dinner was the surprise - amazing food and very reasonable. It was a fixed menu but was delicious - and since have to avoid certain things with being pregnant they were very accommodating. Also they were happy for us to go into the kitchen
for teas and coffee and were very chatty.

The Son Cardaix was great, would recommend to anyone. Great breakfast spread and dinner was better than most of the local restaurants. 9/10

What a superb, restful place to stay! Beautiful suites, great food at
breakfast and especially the evening meals - a real treat! The surrounding
grounds and pool are spectacular. I would recommend this to anyone. 9 out of
10. The only downside is the lack of an honesty bar service.

Marvellous place. We enjoyed everything about it. Hospitality, facilities, food, atmosphere were all great. Even given an upgrade when we arrived. 9 out of 10. Nothing's ever perfect !

Having spent a very pleasant and relaxing week at Valldemosa we were even more delighted with our second Mallorcan location, at Son Cardaix. Again the location was magnificent and so convenient for the east coast beaches. As an Architect I was impressed with the conversion works that had been carried out, and the transformation from a former farm to a modern first class hotel has been carried out with such sensitivity and care that you are left with a feeling that you at home. Top quality accommodation, superb care and attention from all the staff in all respects made our few days stay very memorable. Truly magnificent and we will definitely be returning in the future for a longer stay.

We had a short break at Son Cardaix and wished it had been for longer. The most beautiful hotel that we have ever stayed in. Friendly staff who could not do enough for us - we would not hesitate to recommend it as 10/10. The location was perfect - tranquil yet close enough to the lovely spanish town of Arta. Will definitely be booking again!

This is a fab place, the suite we had was fantastic the roof terrace had a fab double hammock to relax in. Everyone there is very friendly and nothing was a problem. Dinners were excellent. Dinner isn't served on Monday but can recommend going in to Arta as there are a few good places there. 8/10

Absolutely fantastic and spot on! Accommodation is superb and spacious, we had suite with terrace, the actual finca is beautifully restored with really tasteful interior, the ground and gardens/pool immaculate. All the staff were amazing, really helpful and friendly and again spot on. 10 out of 10.

The stay at Son Cardaix was magical. The blend of peace, quiet, informality and style was just right for us. The rooms were beautifully appointed and very good value. You should have said more about the wonderful dinner options. The food was equal to many much more sophisticated and expensive hotels we have used.
