Soller's latest boutique hotel (opened in March 2007) is fast becoming it's hippest place to stay. Just a short stroll from this pretty town's main square, Hotel L'Avenida is an elegant century-old mansion with a unique contemporary interior, stylish pool and views to the surrounding Tramuntana mountains. Behind the walls of L'Avenida's grand modernist exterior lies an eclectic mix of classic style and bold modern finishes. Original frescoes, high ceilings and a sweeping marble staircase are imaginatively combined with designer decor, Philippe Starck bathrooms and all the necessary comforts demanded by today's modern day traveller.
The rooms are spaciously laid out over three floors. The top two floors have views towards the town and mountains, and some rooms have the added benefit of a balcony overlooking the pool. The restaurant sits on the ground floor and spills out onto an outdoor terrace through large French doors. Fresh Mediterranean dishes are served most lunchtimes, and for those finding it difficult to leave the surrounding comforts, dinner is served during weekends. The terraced table area sits conveniently next to the pool; perfect for a dip and a lazy afternoon.
All rooms are equipped with
flat screen TV, DVD player (DVD library in reception), internet access and AC.
All rooms have wengé hardwood floors, stylish accent wallpaper, leather or
four-poster beds, silk drapes and 400-thread Egyptian cotton bed linen.
Bathrooms have walk-in showers, contemporary ceramics, roll-top baths (in
the Luxury Suites), and the hotel's own handmade organic shower gels and
shampoos.
On reservation, full directions will be sent to you. Hotel L'Avenida is centrally located in the pretty town of Soller. Three kilometres to the Port and small beach and approx 30 minutes from Palma airport.
Soller is a small, elegant and arty town, set at the end of the breathtaking mountain steam train ride from Palma. The picture postcard villages of Fornalutx, Deia and Biniaraix. Walking/Hiking - This area is ideal if you enjoy walking or hiking. Port de Soller, reached by a quaint tram from Soller, is a low-key seaside resort, with a small sandy beach and plenty of boats to take you up the coast to visit pretty Cala Tuent and the breathtaking Torrent de Pareis.
