Tucked away in the heart of pretty Soller, Can Roses is a romantic haven full of stylish character. From the outside, this large manor house sits unassumingly within the maze of Soller's narrow cobbled streets, but opening it's huge wooden doors reveals an oasis of lush gardens, pretty courtyards and tasteful interiors.
The owner, Brigitte, has retained the air of a stately residence and cleverly added some inventive touches to create a unique style and atmosphere. The centre piece is a beautiful open courtyard with entrances and staircases leading off to all parts of the house. Wander round these and discover huge, light filled communal areas, such as a library, breakfast room and stylish bar.
Carry on through the courtyard and a large magical garden opens up at the back of the house. Huge palm trees and orange groves are intersected by a maze of small pathways with stone benches. These lead to a discreet and good sized pool at the bottom of the garden, with comfortable loungers and great mountain views. A real secret garden!
The eight bedrooms are spaciously set out in various parts of the house and are accessed via different entrances creating a sense of privacy. Each room is very unique, some have a terrace, others are duplex and one is even entered via the bathroom! All rooms are equipped with satellite TV, heating and AC.
On reservation, full directions will be sent to you. Can Roses is centrally located in the pretty town of Soller. Three kilometres to the Port and small beach and approx 30 minutes from Palma airport.
Soller is a small, elegant and arty town, set at the end of the breathtaking mountain steam train ride from Palma. The picture postcard villages of Fornalutx, Deia and Biniaraix. Walking/Hiking - This area is ideal if you enjoy walking or hiking. Port de Soller, reached by a quaint tram from Soller, is a low-key seaside resort, with a small sandy beach and plenty of boats to take you up the coast to visit pretty Cala Tuent and the breathtaking Torrent de Pareis.
