Stylish and intimate Hotel Can Moragues is an elegant 18th Century townhouse, close to restaurants and cafes, and a short drive to alluring beach coves and manicured golf courses.

Nestled in the centre of historical Arta, this refined retreat is tucked away in the Old Quarter, indulging travellers in the authentic charm of a dignified house and it's ancient town.

Wander through Can Moragues' unassuming entrance to be greeted by an immaculate interior of stately proportions. Antique furniture, local artwork and historical artefacts blend beautifully within the spacious rooms and wide hallways.

The house cleverly encompasses a delightful private courtyard with windows and balconies looking onto the peaceful space. This is a perfect place to enjoy a sunny breakfast, unwind with a good book or take a dip in the pleasant pool. The Moreno family have recently added a Sauna for further relaxation, and are always at hand with a friendly smile and insider knowledge of the best places to visit. With great beaches and golf courses within 10 minutes drive, Arta and it's restaurants is a wonderful base to enjoy the least discovered side of Mallorca.

All the rooms are individually decorated with tasteful and modern touches. Four of the rooms (three junior suites and one double) face the garden patio and we have an arrangement with the hotel to reserve one of these rooms if available.

Located in Arta's old town, Can Moragues is about a 60km easy drive from Palma airport (main road via Manacor). It's within 15kms of some very good beaches and golf courses.

What's nearby

The ancient hill town of Arta sits against the dramatic backdrop of the rolling Serres de Llevant mountains. The town is a maze of steep alleys and streets that lead up to the hill top chapel of Santuari de Sant Salvador.

Calas Torta, Mitjana and Estreta are great secluded sandy beaches at the end of a very bumpy track through the Serres de Llevant.

Cala Mesquida and Cala Agulla are more accessible but still maintain an unspoilt air. The water here is crystal clear.
