The estate of Filicumis sits in the foothills of the scenic Tramuntana mountains and offers real rural escapism for the seasoned traveller and walking enthusiasts. Originally a working farm from the 1800s, Filicumis' huge white and yellow facade graces the surrounding peaceful countryside with a commanding presence. The house, encompassing a large inner courtyard, is home to three spacious and airy apartments; each designed with a stylish and clean simplicity that creates a calm and restful atmosphere. All the apartments are individual and all have uninterrupted country views on one side and the inner courtyard on the other.
This is a truly tranquil spot yet the
villages of Lloseta, Alaro and Binnisalem are within an easy 10 minutes
drive, and offer a wealth of markets, bakeries and good restaurants. Due to Filicumis' central location, the rest of the island is very accessible
and most parts can be reached within 30 minutes.

Walking/Hiking - This area is ideal if you enjoy walking or hiking. The Tramuntana mountain range is a hikers paradise and good local walks are detailed in the Sunflower Edition 'Landscapes of Mallorca' or 'Mallorca Mountains'.
Monastery of Lluc nestles high in the mountains. The monastery is Mallorca's most important place of pilgrimage and is popular with day trippers but an air of spiritual calm still manages to prevail.
There are a few traditional villages and towns such as Alaro, Caimari, Moscari, Campanet and Selva in the vicinity with restaurants, bars and small markets.
A 20 minute drive away, Pollenca sits at the eastern end of the Tramuntana mountain range where the terrain turns into coastal flatland. This is an ancient town where a maze of pleasant narrow streets leads to a vast main square full of tasteful café and restaurant terraces.
