Centuries old Bennoc Petit Hotel is steeped in history, has bundles of character and nestles in a peaceful position close to some of the islands virgin beaches. The hotel has a welcoming, calming and tranquil atmosphere – maybe helped by the fact that under 12s are not able to stay at the hotel.
The friendly and charming owners, the Font family, opened their doors in 2014 after many years converting this tranquil country idyll into a beautiful small hotel. Once home to the local Mayor, his workers and animals, each part of the house has been meticulously renovated to retain interesting features from the past and bring in modern comforts. Stone archways, large patios and a huge central courtyard give a sense of rustic grandeur and space.
The huge courtyard or cloister is a real focal point at the hotel, where guests can relax and dine out on the restaurants large terrace. The dining room itself is simply yet elegantly designed with the original stone walls, bright modern art and crisp white table clothes. The restaurant prides itself on using home grown organic and locally sourced produce to make delicious Mediterranean dishes. The buffet breakfast is a treat, with fruits and produce sourced direct from the estate along with a wide selection of breads, yogurts and pastries. Don’t miss the homemade marmalade!
The pleasant pool is set in a secluded spot amidst spacious gardens and countryside. Surrounded by large terraces with comfortable loungers and parasols, there is plenty of room for guests to relax and unwind. To ensure guests feel fully pampered, Bennoc is opening a Spa and Wellness area soon complete with steam room, sauna and treatments.
All 12 rooms are individual, spacious and airy. The beautiful ancient buildings features have been retained whilst the rooms have all the comfort, style and modernity that guests could wish for. The suites and junior suites all have lounges and outside space, with many leading out onto large, pretty terraces surrounded by gardens.
For those that want to explore, the beautiful white sandy beaches of the South are close by. The vibrant seafront city of Palma is easily accessed from Bennoc and is just a 20-25 minute drive away, whilst the airport is even handier to reach.
