Hotel Illa d'Or Review

This grand and traditional hotel and spa sits overlooking the sea on the edge of the relaxed resort of Port de Pollenca. Founded in 1929, the same family have owned and run the hotel from its conception. This consistency has retained a sense of old world charm and standards that keep guests returning year after year.

Situated right on the seafront, the charming Hotel Illa D’Or enjoys glorious sea views and has direct access to the sea via terraces, a small beach and jetty. Perfect for lazy days, the terraces are decked out with comfortable chairs, a laid back beach bar and shaded areas. At night this spot is transformed into a relaxed dining experience with tasty Mediterranean dishes and stunning views across the bay.

The owners’ years of experience means that most holiday desires can be satisfied here. For guests with any energetic urges, there’s a gym, tennis courts and bike hire, or the option of a few laps in the indoor or outdoor pools. Pampering is available in the Spa and refined entertainment is hosted 3 or 4 nights a week.

The hotel sits in a quiet corner of the Port de Pollenca, a charming beach resort backed by the mountains. Head along the pretty Pine Walk to the centre of the Port where there’s a selection of cafes, restaurants and shops to wander around. There’s also a wide sandy beach with shallow waters and an array of water sports on offer from kitesurfing to sailing.
