Illa d'Or Club Review

These stylish modern apartments sit just 50 metres from the sea with free use of the excellent amenities at the four star Illa D’Or hotel across the road. Recently refurbished into tasteful, contemporary apartments, the three storey Illa D’Or Club sits amidst extensive grounds with a welcoming pool, spacious sun terraces and gardens.

All the apartments are well equipped for a comfortable stay and have a private balcony overlooking the garden. Children are welcome here, with each living room having a double sofa bed; ideal for young families.

On the doorstep is Illa D’Or Hotel, with the welcome bonus of a spa, indoor pool, gym, tennis courts and bike hire. To take a break from self catering, apartment guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel for an additional cost.

A lovely place to enjoy sea views from is the Hotel’s beach bar and restaurant. Or stroll down the pretty seaside Pine Walk into the centre of Port de Pollenca where there’s a selection of cafes, restaurants and shops to explore. The wide sandy beach of the Port de Pollenca with its shallow waters makes it popular with young families. For action junkies, there are plenty of watersports to try from kitesurfing to sailing.

There are also unspoilt coves to discover in the area, with a favorite being the pine edged beach at Formentor. The pretty old town of Pollenca has an array of cafes and restaurants and the nearby Tramuntana Mountains offer spectacular scenery.
