S'Ardeviu Review

Tucked down a narrow cobbled street off Soller's main leafy square, S'Ardeviu is a charming and authentic townhouse with bags of character and a beautiful private courtyard.

With just eight guest bedrooms, the welcoming local hosts, Xisco and Isabel, have created an intimate and homely place to stay in the centre of this delightful Old Town.

Step in through the unassuming entrance, to be greeted by all the charm of a grand Mallorcan residence. The Sampol family heirlooms are immaculately presented throughout, and blend beautifully with the hotel's high wood beamed ceilings, large glass stained wooden doors and ceramic tiled floors.

Breakfast is served in the wonderful garden patio. Bright white linen table tops are spacious dotted around the cobbled courtyard. This is a great place to relax, with colourful flower beds, sun loungers and shaded corners, all set against Soller's mountain backdrop. As the night draws in, there's also a large comfortable indoor sitting area with books, games and a complimentary tray of local liquors. Soller's restaurants and pavement cafes are all a short stroll away, as too is the quaint local tram that trundles down to the Port and its small beach.

Really authentic little gem in a very central location in Soller. The courtyard out the back was lovely, with tables and chairs and a little garden area. First time I've been to this part of the island and there's lots to see. We hired a car drove up into the mountains to some wonderful little village. The Port is only 5 minutes down the road and was a nice place to eat out at night.
A completely anonymous facade conceals a gem of a hotel. The rooms are spacious, light and well appointed; there is a large comfortable lounge and the courtyard with its trees and 'moorish' fountain is cool and restful. The breakfast is spanish (rather than english - no baked beans!) and generous. Finally the staff are friendly and helpful. Altogether delightful. 10/10
