Son Llado Review

Son Llado is a truly rural, family friendly experience. Built in the 17th century, this country estate has passed through generations of the Oller family to remain a working farm. The present generation, Pep and Maria, have converted outbuildings into apartments, so guests can enjoy their down-to-earth rural way of life.

Surrounded by 28 acres of farm land there’s plenty to explore. A firm favourite with children are the animals – the horse, donkeys, chickens, pigs and sheep. Pep receives an annual deluge of photographs of his guests children enjoying horse and cart rides round the farm!

This is a traditional and friendly Mallorquin homestead, with a laid back family atmosphere. The farm's main building is open to guests. It consists of a spacious TV lounge and a dining area, where the Ollers offer typical Mallorcan home cooked dinners. These are often prepared from the farm's own organic produce and cooked in one of the outdoor wood ovens.

For sun worshippers, Son Llado has an ample swimming pool or the island’s best beach, Es Trenc, is just 8kms away. Bikes are freely available and the area is particularly cycle friendly, with its dedicated cycle routes and endless kilometres of flat rural land.

Had a great stay at Son Llado and can thoroughly recommend it for a young family. Owners Pep and Maria were very friendly and accommodating hosts, serving delicious breakfasts and a great weekly dinner. Would certainly return again. 8/10
We had a wonderful few days staying at Son Llado with Pep, Maria and family. They were very welcoming and we especially enjoyed the meal Pep cooked for us on the Wednesday evening. The apartment was typically Spanish and very spacious. We hope to return one day well done Pep! 10 out of 10
We had a fantastic stay in Mallorca, we stayed in an apartment in a rural farmhouse, which was excellent. The owners were very welcoming and friendly, the accommodation perfect and the breakfast large !!

Price includes / excludes: The price is per apartment and cleaning service every 4 days. Breakfast (if required) and 8% local VAT taxes are additional.
Apartments: The apartments are completely equipped with a kitchen that comprises fridge, ceramic hob, a micro wave stove, a coffee machine and all necessary dishes and cutlery to cook and set the table, as well as bed sheets and towels and is equipped with air conditioning and central heating powered by solar energy and an additional wood stove.
Reservation: Credit card details and 20% deposit. Remaining amount to be paid to the hotel during your stay.
Cancellation: 100% of the deposit returned if 30 days or more notice
50% deposit returned if notice is between 30 days and 15 days.
No deposit returned if less than 15 days notice is given before the arrival date. The deposit will be kept for a future stay.
Restaurant: Son Llado is mainly self catering however the owners usually offer dinner once a week.
Check in / check out: Check-in from 14:00 and check-out up to 12:00 midday. The hotel will do their best to be flexible with these due to flight times.

Extra beds: children 25% of room price; adults 30%
Breakfast: adults: 12 Euros; below 12yrs: 7 Euros; more than 12: 12 Euros.
