Son Simo Vell Review

Peaceful and stylish Son Simo Vell is a country estate and working farm situated close to the long sandy beaches of north west Mallorca and the old towns of Alcudia and Pollenca.

Set on 40 hectares in a listed area of outstanding natural beauty, the farmhouse enjoys mountain views and is surrounded by vine yards, olive, almond, orange and lemon trees. The farm produces wine, olive oil, fruit, vegetables and eggs, which means that there’s plenty of fresh farm produce for the guests to enjoy at breakfast and dinner.

Son Simo Vell has beautifully fused the old farm buildings character with light and airy minimalist décor. Pale and neutral shades are used throughout, interspersed with antiquities and modern art.

The ground floor has an airy lounge, dining room with terrace and snug with the bar in the old chimney. The four double rooms are on the first floor of the main house, and the junior suites are situated in separate outbuildings with their own private entrances and some with private terraces.

The blend of contemporary style, comfort and harmony with nature continues outside. The designer pool surrounded by stylish wood decking is an ecological salt water pool, with a pool shower, toilets and a small gym housed nearby. The gardens are immaculate and colourful and also are home to Talaiotic monuments which date back over 3000 years. There is plenty to explore on the estate, with the direct walks leading from the farmhouse.

Son Simo Vell also has good access to explore the rest of the island. Within a 15 minute drive are glorious sandy beaches, the Tramuntana mountains, golf courses and the pretty old towns of Pollenca and Alcudia.
