Aimia (Port de Soller)

This place hit the spot for us. We were looking for something different from your usual seaside hotel in Mallorca and Aimia was just right. Attentive staff, good clean rooms, great pool area and a short walk to everything in the Port de Soller (which we loved by the way)

Good quality hotel with a relaxed air. Felt very comfortable staying there and the staff always had a smile for you. Eat in the restaurant one night but decided to eat out other nights as lots of good options with better atmosphere along the Port. We’d definitely return

We also stayed at the Aimia in 2007 and it was nice to see that the staff had not changed. We had a lovely stay and would consider staying again.

8/10 Clean, modern and stylish. Large well-equipped rooms and big balconies. Good for families or a girly break.

The Aimia is a modern but v. comfortable hotel. The superior rooms are a good size with large balcony (ask for one facing the pool if you want a sunny balcony). Beautiful bathrooms complete with robes and slippers and v powerful hairdryer. Pool area is v nice, fairly quiet. Don't think the pool is heated though as we went in Sept and it was pretty cold! Good, friendly service in every part of the hotel. They also have a good selection of mags, newspapers and novels to read. Port de Soller is an attractive resort but probably only merits a week there as is not that big. Great restaurants we found were Randamar (good paella, pizza's, fish), Es Canyis (great seabass and perfect lamb shoulder) and Esplendido (hotel restaurant serving modern international food).

From our stay at Can Roses, we then moved into Port Soller travelling down via the delightful Tram (great views and a lovely experience) to stay at Hotel Aimia - which was a completely different type of hotel - modern and sleek in its design with more facilities. The view from our balcony over the Port really was amazing and our room was ideal. The contrast between the hotels was refreshing and made it feel like we were now on a completely different holiday. The staff were equally as friendly as the first hotel, they were not obtrusive but when asked would provide us with anything we wanted. There is more to do in the Port and the restaurants were much better. We enjoyed fantastic Paella in Can Ribes, and freshly caught grilled fish in El Pirita. There are also many walks to go on here - although we only managed one, the views were stunning! The beach was also nice - walking round to the other side is advisable as this is a better beach than the one nearer the hotel. There was only one drawback which the hotel could do nothing about, late in the evening you could hear the hotel (Eden) opposite's disco blaring out! But this would end by midnight - so no issue unless you wanted an early night.

A small but very pleasant modern hotel with friendly staff and good service. The rooms are nicely furnished and the beds very comfortable. I would happily stay there again for a few days.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights with my parents who stayed for 7. My specification was a small hotel where people with mobility difficulties were comfortable. The hotel ticked all the boxes on that count plus more. The staff were very helpful most speaking good English with one or two managing to understand us and make themselves understood, far better than our Spanish! All the public areas were nicely designed, minimal and clean. The room was the same and the chambermaids were great always greeting you in the corridor and the rooms were left spotless every day. The location was ideal, just a few minutes walk, which the old folks could manage, to a wide selection of restaurants. We had lunch a couple of days in the restaurant and my parents ate there on their last night, all were enjoyed. A very enjoyable break, would recommend it to our friends and will go back there soon for a short break.

A friend and I chose the Aimia for a girls' chill-out holiday - and it was perfect. The spacious contemporary bedroom had extremely comfortable beds (linen changed daily) loads of wardrobe space and a superb bathroom with great shower. The Aimia seems to have given a great deal of thought to creating a peaceful holiday retreat. The spa is small, but excellent and the therapist was one of the best. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening - there is no longer an a la carte menu and the table d'hote didn't appeal - but the daytime bistro menu was perfect for poolside lunches and very reasonably priced. The hotel is beautifully clean and seems to be well maintained. We will definitely return.
