Via Verde (Green Way Cycle Path) Mallorca

Share this:

Always in search of the best ways to have fun and see the most beautiful parts of Mallorca, we fixed our helmets, jumped on our bikes and headed off down 18 miles of cycle track from Manacor to Arta.

Via Verde Manacor Arta Mallorca

The Via Verde (Green Way Cycle Path) is an old railway line recently converted into a delightful (flat) track for walkers and cyclists that cuts through the countryside in this unspoilt South East corner of Mallorca. The old stations have been renovated and provide great places to divert off and explore the towns and villages of San Llorenc, Son Carrio, Son Severa and Arta along the way. Both San Llorenc and Arta are our favourites with a nice selection of Cafes and pretty central areas.

As always in Mallorca, you are never too far from a fabulous beach. Head off the Via Verde on a separate route near to Son Severa and it’s only 2km to the coast and close to the pretty sandy cove of Cala Nau, an ideal spot to cool off.

It’s a short walk or leisurely pedal to access the Via Verde via several of The Other Mallorca’s recommended places to stay and it can be a great way to head into the local town for lunch, discover stunning coastal areas such as Punta de N’Amer or just enjoy the road free scenery.
