Centrally located in Palma, the cosy and intimate four star Hotel San Lorenzo is tucked down a narrow street in the old fishermen’s quarter of San Pedro yet is only a five minute walk from the city’s main shopping area and historical centre

San Lorenzo is discreetly set amidst traditional houses, but soon stands out with its charming entrance of decorative iron work and traditional patio. Inside, the three storey former 17th century manor house encircles a quiet, pretty courtyard which has the added benefit of a cooling swimming pool and lush plants.

With only nine guest rooms, it’s a small and romantic retreat in the heart of Palma. The hotel has a welcoming, homely feel and all the rooms are individually decorated in a blend of traditional Mallorcan and classic furnishings. All rooms are unique, with the suites having their own terraces and fireplaces, whilst the double rooms have either a balcony, direct access to the courtyard or French windows out onto the street.

For a quiet tipple, the hotel’s art deco bar is a relaxed friendly place, and a good starting point before trying out the nearby bars and restaurants of the lively La Lonja district. Breakfast is also served at the hotel, although guests can eat out and refuel in local cafes prior to exploring Palma’s nearby shops, sights and seafront.

Our last couple of nights were spent at San Lorenzo and as it is a traditional small hotel it was a nice, authentic way to round off our holiday in Mallorca. Even though it is very central it was quiet, and welcoming. Also, we should say thank you for organising us a great trip around a beautiful island. — C & JD

Loved this character property with pretty courtyard and small swimming pool in the old town. Our room was clean, comfortable and very Majorcan in style and right next to the pool. All staff were helpful and a delicious breakfast was on offer. — AR

My husband and I have had a great long weekend exploring Palma and staying at this character hotel. Quirky layout on different levels with a pretty swimming pool and terrace area in the middle. A great base for exploring the city with everything on the doorstep (restaurants, cafes, shops & seafront) — N & OC

We had a very enjoyable few days in central Palma thanks. We walked everywhere! Our room was spacious, light and clean (we didn’t see any other rooms but they are all different). As it was warm, the pool with comfy loungers was a great asset. — BD

Our recent trip to Mallorca was amazing! We spent two nights in Palma staying at the Hotel San Lorenzo. A superb hotel, great location close to the Cathedral the shops and the harbour. Breakfast was very good, the room with it’s roof terrace was great. We really enjoyed our first visit to Palma and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. The staff at the hotel were great. They were both helpful and friendly, recommending and booking restaurants and arranging taxis etc. Thank you Martin for all your help and guidance, we had a great time and will most certainly be in touch next year. — S & DS

An authentic Mallorcan hotel. It feels very personal and our room was very spacious and surprisingly quiet for such a central hotel. As it is in the old quarter of Palma it is easy to walk everywhere. We found the staff helpful and happy to give us restaurant recommendations. — WS

We had a suite which had a large bedroom, lounge area and its own little garden. An oasis in central Palma. The breakfast was good quality (fresh orange juice, croissants). Dinner isn’t served but there are a lot of good restaurants nearby. — JB

We really appreciated talking to you and all your help. Thank you for recommending San Lorenzo to us. We wanted to be able to have a swim at the end of the day and the pool was perfect for that. It is a very individual hotel with friendly, helpful staff. We will be using you again when we visit Mallorca. — RP

Thanks very much for all your advice. San Lorenzo was a great hotel to take my girlfriend on our first trip abroad. It was small, romantic and the staff were all friendly. We enjoyed Palma – lots to see and the restaurants we ate at were all good. — HJ

We had a lovely 3 days in Palma at the San Lorenzo. It’s tucked down a small street in the Old Town and a short walk to everything. Room and bed was comfortable and the small pool was nice to have inbetween exploring the city. All in all a great little hotel. — J & RT
