When we visited the apartments and rooms at Sa Rota D’en Palerm we were immediately struck by the real warmth and ambience of the place, something that can’t be bought but has been created by the friendly and welcoming owners. If you’re looking for somewhere unpretentious yet gorgeous then this could be the place for you. The owners’ relaxed and caring manner means that nothing is too much trouble and everyone from couples to families are made to feel most welcome.
As soon as you arrive it is apparent that this is a place to relax, kick back and enjoy the glorious country views. With an array of hammocks, swinging chairs and poolside loungers it is obvious that the hosts want guests to unwind and take it easy.
Sitting on a hillside, this retreat has far reaching views that stretch to the Tramuntana mountains, which creates a real sense of space and tranquillity.
Sa Rota is surrounded by the agricultural plains of the island, so delicious breakfasts and meals are laden with the freshest home grown and homemade produce. It is well worth making sure you enjoy a delicious evening meal here, either on the pretty main terrace or on your own terrace (ideal for parents who want to enjoy a relaxed evening meal whilst the children sleep nearby).
With bustling local markets to be found in nearby ancient towns, including Sineu with its huge market, rustling up tasty lunches and dinners is easy in the well-equipped apartment kitchens. The apartments and rooms are welcoming, comfortable and immaculate and all are uniquely decorated with antique furniture.
This is a place for those looking for a laid back retreat in the midst of the real Mallorca. It’s a great base from which to explore the surrounding countryside, with beautiful beaches just 25 minutes drive away.
