We tend to shy away from the more bustling areas of Mallorca but there is something about the glamorous buzz of Puerto Portals marina and the quiet gentrified roads that lead off that makes it rather appealing.
OD Port Portals is situated just a few minutes’ walk from the marina where the wealthy park up their boats and indulge in lazy lunches and aperitifs. This is a place for people watching and for a very decent lunch.
The Port has always lacked somewhere stylish enough to match the surrounds but this has now been fixed with the arrival of OD Port Portals, a designer hotel with an excellent mix of quality and service.
Only opened this spring, now is a great time to stay here before word gets out.
For when you tire of relaxing by the pool and enjoying the designer surrounds, some of our favourite things to do nearby are:
Have breakfast at the stylish beach restaurant Beach Alm before spending the day on the sand.
If you’re feeling active, then try your hand at paddle boarding at the beachside sea school.
Sit upstairs in Wellies Bar on the harbour front and watch the sun go down.
Head into Portals village and try out the Mediterranean dishes at one of our favourite restaurants Chameli’s.
