Son Brull epitomises the recent growth of quality, design-led hotels on Mallorca. This ultra chic hotel & spa has been reviewed by Wallpaper Magazine and offers directions to the hotel by yacht and helicopter (together with the more conventional modes of transport!).

The Suau Family have meticulously transformed this once century old monastery into a sleek and stylish place to stay in the north part of the island. Ignasi Forteza, a young Mallorcan designer, and his team have created a hotel with cutting edge design whilst retaining the monastery’s calm serene atmosphere. These qualities, combined with a high level of personal service create a truly unique experience.

Its twenty three rooms are all different but all follow the same contemporary style, with vanguard décor and state of the art technology. Some of the luxuries found in each room include jacuzzis, king size beds, high speed internet connection and satellite TV with DVD player.

The hotel’s restaurant, named 365 (Son Brull was once known as ‘the house with 365 windows’), is overseen by Juan Marc Garcias, a young Mallorcan chef with experience in some of Spain’s finest kitchens. Food, based on modern and historic local recipes, is served in the chic restaurant or al fresco poolside – an area of spacious wood decked terraces leading to a large infinity pool.

Son Brull is all about luxury, quality and service. The hotel is happy to arrange any activity from hiking to horse riding and hot air ballooning to helicopter flying! Guests also receive substantial discounts on green fees at the two local golf courses (one of which is designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr & Sr and overlooks the Bay of Alcudia from every fairway).

Another great holiday thanks. Son Brull Hotel & Spa is relaxed, luxurious and in a very good location. A wonderful place to recharge. First class staff and service throughout the hotel from reception to restaurant. A peaceful place but also close to the interesting town of Pollenca , mountains & beaches so we did leave to have a look around and we made use of free bike hire. — LK

What a stunning hotel is a peaceful setting. Loved the friendliness of staff and excellent food, exceptional 365 restaurant and also tapas. Try the the hotels own gin (using its own rosemary) and rose wine from its vineyard plus oranges, lemons and pomegranates. — PJ

Treated myself and my wife to a few nights at this very special hotel. We had a stylish room with excellent bathroom. View out onto the pool but I am sure all the rooms and views are equally good. It’s in a pretty part of north Mallorca (Pollenca and Formentor which were both worth a visit) but we didn’t explore too much as the two pools, spa (with good free yoga class) and restaurants were all worth staying back for. — JM

We had a short stay at this hotel and still felt rejuvenated and rested from our visit. It is a special place surrounded by countryside. Our room was immaculate with a huge bathroom. As well as the main facilities we also made use of the hotels bikes to get to and from Pollenca town which is worth a visit. — E & FN

A place that’s good for the soul! It all felt very peaceful at this historic builidng which has scenic country views and a beautiful infinity pool with comfy double loungers. We didn’t stray far as the restaurant / tapas was also excellent here. — RG

We much enjoyed our stay. We walked along the main road to Pollensa so we could enjoy wine and restaurants and were almost not going to have dinner in the hotel but thankfully we did. The meal was one of the best if not the best we had in 7 days in Majorca despite 4 nights at the Residencia and eating throughout Deia. — H & GD
