The pretty townhouse hotel of Son Sant Jordi is set on a charming square in the ancient town of Pollenca. Sharing the tiny square with only a few houses and an ancient church, the hotel enjoys an enviably quiet yet central location.

Its spacious, light filled café-restaurant is a popular place for chic locals to take their morning coffee, and with tables spilling out onto the cobble stones, it’s a perfect place to take a leisurely breakfast. If guests prefer somewhere more private, the breakfast room is a refined spot with white linen topped tables, wicker chairs and a generous buffet of local goodies. To ensure guests are well served, eggs and bacon can be rustled up, or a pot of tea can be delivered to the bedroom door prior to breakfast.

Son Sant Jordi is a relaxed, friendly place and aside from the gentle bustle of the café, the rest of the townhouse remains a tranquil retreat. The hotel has a peaceful, elegant rustic atmosphere, with dappled pale blue pillars breaking up the calming, neutral stone and fabric shades.

At the back of the house is a secluded, tree lined garden with lawns and pretty flower beds. There are plenty of loungers on which to soak up the sun and an inviting swimming pool takes centre stage. There’s even a shaded barbeque terrace for those fancying a bit of al fresco cooking! Upstairs the eight individual pale shaded bedrooms are a mix of romantic drapes, antique furniture and homely comforts. Rooms look out onto the pretty garden or the tiny square and the narrow streets beyond.

Son Sant Jordi is ideally located just a stroll away from Pollenca’s café lined main square and shops. It’s a rather cosmopolitan place with art galleries, various restaurants and bars. The ancient town also offers some historical sites with the 365 stone steps to Calvari to climb!

Just 5 kilometres away is the horseshoe bay of Pollenca with its golden sands, shallow waters and watersports. Kite surfing to jet skiing are on offer, or for those wanting to explore by boat, there are excursions and private charters to hire.

Thanks for your assistance. We really liked this family run hotel & its friendly staff. Our garden view room was lovely with plenty of space. The garden was quiet, had comfy furniture and a pleasant small pool. We also liked the town and the walk into the centre with cafes & restaurants. — AP

A little gem down the side streets of Pollenca. A traditional Mallorcan guest house with a haven of a garden & pool, where we relaxed and also had breakfast. A comfortable base to explore the area and to visit the Port and further along the coast. We hired bikes and it was really nice following the lanes to the coast and using the cycle tracks. — LR

We loved the hotel and the service but especially the staff. The attention to detail was amazing. My partner had a significant birthday whilst we were there, I did not tell them about this but when the maid cleaned the room and saw the cards word soon got around. He was wished happy birthday by every member of staff that we saw and when we went back to the room there was a complimentary bottle of bubbles.
The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and again attention to detail. We could not fault the whole stay. — JH

Thanks you for organising a wonderful holiday. Hotel Son San Jordi. Completely different than the other two hotels (Can Quatre & Can Estades) as it based in the fabulous town of Pollenca. We had never been to Pollenca before and so it was great to be somewhere completely different from our first two stays. When we arrived we were told that there had been a problem with the air conditioning in our room. Would we care to use one of their apartments situated away from the hotel just off the town square. Would we !!! It was perfect. Modern, classy with a rooftop terrace that was perfect for sunbathing, relaxing and eating. As a result, we did not see much of the hotel but our stay and the service we received from the hotel was excellent. All in all a brilliant holiday. Thank you. — J & BS

A lovely intimate hotel with pool right in the middle of Pollenca, a lovely old town. Easy to get to the coast and the Port Pollenca. Very well run, our room was comfortable & clean, buffet breakfasts were good and the staff friendly. — P& IK

We spent a week at this small family run hotel in central Pollenca and would go back. Friendly place with helpful owner and staff. Pretty garden and pool are an oasis you wouldn’t expect in a town. Breakfast in the quiet of the garden was a delightful way to start the day. Thank you for this. — SS
