Can Alomar is the latest offering from the talented Miguel Conde who has made a success of creating stylish, luxury hotels (Hotels Can Cera and Calatrava) in Old Town Palma. The location doesn’t get more central than Can Alomar as it sits right on the grandest boulevard in Palma, the tree lined Passeig del Born. The palatial façade of the listed building that houses Can Alomar contributes significantly to the elegance and charm of this historic area. The grandeur continues inside as the luxury hotel melds the majesty of the old building with the comforts and finishes expected in a contemporary boutique hotel.
The hotel makes the most of its location with terraces looking down onto the wide streets, and a fabulous rooftop Solarium Terrace with Jacuzzi, plunge pool, loungers and stunning views to the cathedral, sea and mountains. There is even a Viewing Tower, complete with comfy sofas so guests can enjoy comfort and privacy whilst perched high above the city.
Throughout the hotel, the old style elegance is respected, whilst modern, spacious and light filled rooms welcome guests in for a relaxing and comfortable stay.
There are just 16 stylish rooms, ranging from the super spacious Suites Alomar which span 55 m2 each, through to the comfortable yet still roomy Deluxe Doubles (35 m2 each). All the rooms are individual decorated in neutral tones brightened with splashes of modern art. The hotel has ensured the modern visitor is well looked after, with walk in wardrobes and large Starke inspired bathrooms.
Can Alomar has a welcoming feel and guests can enjoy generous tasty breakfasts in the dining room or on one of two large terraces. There’s also a stylish lounge to relax in and a library with a reading area and internet access. The hotel is surrounded by outstanding restaurants and cafes, however the hotels own restaurant ‘De Tokio a Lima’ is also worth a visit with its fusion of Mediterrean, Japanese and Peruvian cuisine. Guests are well looked after by the friendly staff who offer an impeccable and discreet service, and who are on hand to book tables at the best restaurants and offer advice on how to make the most of their stay in Palma.
