Son Julia is a beautifully restored historical mansion, sitting in the peaceful countryside, yet close to Palma city and Mallorca’s best virgin beaches.

The splendid residence dates back to the 15th century, and its latest make-over has sensitively created a grand and luxurious place to stay.Elegant furniture, handmade carpets and local works of art have been carefully woven into the buildings framework, offering a glimmer of the Julia family’s dignified past.

The most demanding luxury seeking travellers should be satisfied here. Three swimming pools, two restaurants, tennis courts and a fully equipped health and Spa area, all sit within the grounds of this tranquil mansion. With only 25 rooms, this grand scale luxury is skilfully balanced with the intimacy of a small hotel.

On one side of the house there’s a large outdoor terrace area with comfortable loungers and huge swimming pool. To reach the second pool, wander through the delightful Arabian Gardens to be met at the other side by a huge expanse of shimmering blue. The impressive pool is complete with swimjets, designer furniture and private Cabañas.

Outside the grounds, Golfers are easily pleased with two 18 hole golf courses within 5 minutes. For the less energetic, some of Mallorca’s finest beaches are less than 15 minutes drive away.

An excellent choice for a long weekend of relaxation, thanks Martin. Literally 15 mins from the airport to this beautiful place. Straight away we felt in holiday mode with friendly staff to greet us and a large luxurious room & bed. With 3 swimming pools (one indoors) and extensive gardens we felt spoilt for choice. A very fine hotel within easy reach, so we hope to return. — NB

Thank you for your time and effort with arranging our last min stay. We enjoyed our few days at this hotel and appreciated the staff and accommodation. We hadn’t considered Son Julia until you mentioned it and we are pleased you did. A beautiful estate where everything seems on a large scale (in a good way!): our room, marble bathroom and bed were all huge and comfortable. The grounds are extensive and beautiful kept along with two large pools. We also found it well located (nr airport, Palma and beach). A great place for an easy escape so yes we would stay again. — YT

Just back from our five night stay at Son Julia Country Hotel. Beautiful architecture and décor, just 25 rooms so feels intimate yet has a lot of facilities (two pools, one is adult only), courteous staff, excellent food at breakfast and also at dinner. Set on its own so a car essential. — DW

A really pleasant boutique hotel with huge rooms, spacious grounds with lush gardens and different pools so you feel as if you have the place to yourself. Friendly staff and a good selection on offer at breakfast. Maria on breakfast duty should be given special note. — LR
