Charming peaceful Sa Tanqueta is a family run apart-hotel with a difference, perched on the edge of the picture postcard village of Fornalutx.

The apartments have a glorious position, a short walk from the village centre yet with incredible open views down the Soller valley. The exterior has been created out of local stone to blend with the ancient houses and narrow cobbled streets of Fornalutx. Whilst the interior has a modern touch, with tasteful, contemporary furnishings set within light and airy rooms. Most apartments have large french windows that lead out on their own private terrace with magnificent views of the Tramuntana Mountains and Soller Valley.

Sa Tanqueta has been designed to offer all the modern comforts of an apartment alongside the luxuries of a hotel. Breakfast is served every morning in the large dining room whilst each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, dishwasher and crockery. For those wishing to avoid the kitchen, the village restaurants and cafes are just a short stroll away with varied menus of Mallorquin and international dishes.

The village and Sa Tanqueta is an ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts. The surrounding mountains have a vast number of unspoilt paths and cycle routes to suit all capabilities. Many walks start from the village and the routes are equally beautiful whether you want a relaxing ramble around the surrounding countryside or a rigorous stomp up some of the Tramuntana’s highest peaks.

Will definitely return to this wonderful part of Mallorca, perhaps in Springtime next time when we will be able to take greater advantage of all the wonderful walks in the region. We stayed for 11 nights and experienced faultless, flawless perfection. This hotel sits in a class of its own. From the very first welcome from Mabel, to her final farewell we cannot find a single criticism. Wonderful location with spectacular mountain views, 3 minute walk to the village square, attentive, happy, friendly staff and exemplary service. Excellent breakfasts on the terrace outside. Lovely place. One of the nicest Hotel/Apartments we have ever stayed in. Good size apartments particularly ours with a lovely terrace. Spotlessly clean, great Breakfast, super gardens well maintained, a good swimming pool and the views are stunning. The experience with the other Mallorca were simply fantastic and you will definitely be hearing from us again. Hopefully next summer. We loved Sa Tanqueta – everything we were hoping for – and very nice people running it who helped us with advice on walking routes (even phoning to find out what time a ferry could pick us up at the end of one of the long walk we did to Cala Tuente) – but generally left everyone to just enjoy the peace / tranquillity. Only comment I’d make is they should have a small washing up liquid provided in each kitchenette as well as a few dishwasher tabs (the latter provided – the former we needed to buy). It’s those little things that make you more welcome and really costs them nothing. I’m already plotting our next visit / Majorca trip – but we’ll have a look at some of the other lovely places you have on your website too! I have also been very impressed with your service – I now know to call you when we’re a bit last minute on bookings as you’ll be able to tell me what places have capacity for our dates.
